DECEMBER CS NEWS.
Dear Mrs Garske & Mr Link You have worked tirelessly all year to provide a perfect retreat for our members and you've done a fantastic job. We frequently receive glowing reports about the welcome they've received, the invaluable knowledge of our CS owners, or the immaculate facilities provided. We know that it can be hard work sometimes, but we really do appreciate it Mrs Garske & Mr Link, and so do your campers.
It's clear to see the pride that Mark and Eileen take in their Certificated Site at Cwmcuttan, and this is reflected in the rave reviews they receive from visiting campers.
Situated just outside of the Brecon Beacons, members treasure the view over the onsite carp lake which blends seamlessly into the rolling valley beyond.
Described as a "little piece of heaven" more than once, it's not just our members who favour this site as you'll find an abundance of wildlife from woodpeckers to otters all revelling in the utter peace and tranquility that encapsulates you.
7 years on from when Mark and Eileen began their journey with us, they tell us that they take running the CS very seriously and keep the site in the very best condition possible; a mantra that clearly serves them well!

This is our second review of Cwmcuttan since we luckily stumbled across this wonderful site in April 2012, and really this place just gets better! We have made numerous visits in the last eighteen months because we love this site so much. If you love peace and tranquillity then Cwmcuttan is the site for you, Eileen & Mark have created a haven for all sorts of wildlife, especially if you enjoy company of dozens of types of wild birds including the very nosey Red Kite, Goshawk, Swallows etc. Etc. As well as the Ducks & Chickens, not to mention the cats.
As we mentioned previously there is no TV reception (we use a Satellite Dish) but the phone signal is very good so mobile internet via a dongle is an option. Remember this is a basic site with no Toilet facilities but it does have the essentials, water, waste, a good electric hook up and Peace!
If you like relaxing then this is the place to be, sit by the pond and watch the hundreds of fish, just chill out and watch the world pass by, always immaculate, Eileen & Mark look forward to seeing you soon.

A beautifully quiet site. We have over the last 25 years spent many nights on various sites around the U. K. And this must rank as our favourite.
The peacefulness is amazing and the wildlife abundant with red kites and buzzards flying low overhead as well as kingfishers visiting the lovely little carp lake.
It is kept spotlessly by the owners Mark and Eileen who are only to willing to make your stay a happy one. Try it, you won't regret it, We haven't and can't wait to stay there again. A little slice of paradise.

April 2012
After stumbling across the Cwmcuttan website whilst looking for somewhere just for one night myself & partner thought we'd give it a try.
To be honest there's nothing bad I can say about this site! probably the only downside is that there is absolutely nothing there (which is what we wanted) it's one of the nicest sites to 'chill out' that we've ever been on!
There are five or six hard-standing pitches with a good power supply and well maintained road and grass areas, Chemical waste disposal fresh water and rubbish disposal facilities are all within easy reach. You have a lovely pond stocked with Carp to sit around and there are chickens & ducks in pens too. The owners are really friendly and seem as if they will do anything to help! Locally you have the Heart of Wales railway (Cynghordy Station within 5 minutes walk) to travel between Swansea & Shrewsbury and a great walk to see the impressive Cynghordy Viaduct which is probably just over a mile away -
All this for £11 per night ! We used a satellite dish to get tv and there was full signal on our mobiles. Can't wait to go back!

"This site is a CL and a little piece of heaven nestling on the edge of the Brecon national park in the middle of Wales, It’s situated on a very quiet but accessible road even for American RV’s and only 5 miles from woodland walks in the Brecon’s.
The nearest town is Llandovery or Llanymddyffri, is just a mile or so away. It’s not unusual to see all kind of wildlife from the site. A cock Pheasant and his two wives live in the big field. It has wonderful small lake with a walk around which is stocked with various fish that love to be fed with leftover bread and it’s not unusual to see Canadian Geese come to the lake for a few days in March.
The site itself has 5 hard standing pitches each capable of parking a large American motor home on and some addition grass areas and currently has 10 electric hook-ups. The site also welcomes well behaved dogs. It has fresh water point and waste water point and toilet emptying facilities that can be accessed even by large motor homes. You will always receive a warm welcome and I would recommend the site to anyone or small group of campers/caravaners or motor homers (I must be MAD as it's a real GEM of a site)" Road Runner

August 2010
We had our first visit there in August, we thought it was a lovely site, all pitches have hardstandings lots of space between pitches, the road is also solid.
You wont get TV with an aerial, but you will with a satellite dish. The phone signal was very good on 3 and vodafone, so I was able to use my laptop with a dongle.
They also have a pond on site stocked with carp, you are not allowed to fish for them, but you can feed them and they will consume a full loaf of bread as fast as you can throw it in!
We would definitely go there again it was so peaceful and relaxing

Dear Mark and Eileen
We just had to write and thankyou for the wonderful weekend we have just had at Cwmcuttan.
"We've found a little peace of heaven", the site was just as described on the internet. Our own hardstanding with plenty of room to stand and sit outside and plenty of space between the pitches.
The site is so peaceful we could not help but relax and unwind. Because there is no light pollution we turned off our awning lights and gazed in wonder at the stars (i'll remember my star gazing for beginners next time).
Thanks to your photography page 'himself decide to bring his bag hide as he wouldn't get laughed at and sat amongst the trees and in the fields, got some cracking photos. This left me free to catch the train from the quirky little station beside the site into llandovery for some retail theraphy.
Back at the site we sat out watching the red kites perform overhead.
The wildlife on site was amazing, so many different spieces of birds, then there were the bees, not to mention the squirrels and then that gorgeous ornamental pond full of fish jumping, the frogs and all that frog and toad spawn and the cute little tadpoles. I even found fungi, litchen and wildflowers for my photography project and to finish up, the joys of seeing our first swallow over the pond.
We can't wait for his next weekend off to come back to explore further and hopefully catch a glimpse of the kingfisher, perhaps catch the train to Shrewsbury now he's found a spot to sit and photograph or explore the contryside although that will be hard because its just so lovely to sit and soak up the quiet calm of the site and charge the batteries.
Thankyou once again for sharing this beautiful place with us we'll be telling everyone about it, just hope theres space when we can make it back.
Ken and Patricia
Hi, just to say thank you for a wonderful holiday. We can’t wait to come back. In the meantime I have posted your site on the ‘camping’ section of the motor home site plus put a review about it in the main forums.
Hi, we just wanted to share this with you, we have just spent 3 wondefully relaxing days at a site near Llandovery which is a Caravan Club Certified site and opened up last year and is as yet very much undiscovered, until now that is, and which is Open All Year!!...
The site is peaceful, lots of wildlife, has 5 hardstandings all suitable for motorhomes, our van is 25ft long and we had no problems with fitting onto pitch with plenty of room for our awning had we decided to put it up.
They can also have up to 10 tents but at this time of the year we had the place to ourselves.
Dogs are welcome.
They charged us £10 a night inc Electricity. They have a CDP, drinking water, waste water, waste drainage, etc all suitable for the motorhome to pull up at. There is no toilet or shower block as yet but they may be building one in the near future, however we managed fine with our on board facilities.
The site owners are very friendly and very helpful.
The pitches overlook a large pond full of fish which love being fed bread. They also have a few ducks and chickens which were remarkably quiet. They are 5 mins walk from a train stop although it is the Heart of Wales line so only about 6 trains a day which are single carriage and gone in a flash so hardly noticable and very quiet but also very useful if you wish to catch a train to some of the nearby towns rather than take the motorhome.
Nearest town is Llandovery (10 mins drive away) which has all the shops you need plus parking for motorhomes although on market day might be best not to go there. The access to the site is good, its about a mile off the main road and although the road is slightly narrow there are plenty of passing places and we had no problems with our motorhome.
Whilst there we saw red kites, buzzards, lots of frogs and there is plenty of other wildlife around to spot. There are walks nearby or down the quiet country lanes that surround the site. Eileen is very fast at responding to emails. She has also said that if any wishes to stay for a longer period of time she is happy to do their washing for a small fee!..sounds good to us.
We had a wonderful time there, the owners couldn't have been more helpful and we would love others to 'find' the site. I hope if you visit you have just a good a time as we did and who knows perhaps we'll get to meet you there one day.
